EarnSure for iPhone

Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 15, 2026

Your work record belongs to you. EarnSure keeps it on your iPhone and, if you use iCloud sync, in your own private iCloud. EarnSure has no servers that hold your hours or pay.

In short

  • No EarnSure account. You don’t sign up or sign in.
  • Your jobs, shifts, pay rates and paychecks stay on your device and, with iCloud sync on, in your private iCloud. We can’t access your private iCloud database.
  • No advertising, no tracking, and no third-party analytics or SDKs in the app.
  • EarnSure doesn’t send work records to your employer or to PlugInCode Szymon Smodlibowski. With sync on, Apple stores them in your private iCloud. You can also choose to export or share them yourself.
  • We receive emails you choose to send us. Apple may also provide developer diagnostics and usage statistics through its optional analytics sharing, as explained below.

1. Who we are

This policy covers the EarnSure app for iPhone and this website. In it, “EarnSure”, “we” and “us” mean PlugInCode Szymon Smodlibowski. See our Legal Information for provider identification and contact details.

2. What the app keeps on your device

EarnSure stores what you enter in a database on your device, so it can calculate your expected pay. That includes:

A few preferences are kept only on that device and are never synced: whether iCloud sync is on, when the device last finished syncing, and which job Home shows.

EarnSure doesn’t ask for your location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone or health data.

3. iCloud sync

iCloud sync is on by default and free. When it’s on and you’re signed in to iCloud, the records and settings listed above are also stored in EarnSure’s area of your private iCloud database, in your Apple Account. That lets them appear on your other devices signed in to the same Apple Account.

You can record shifts, calculate estimates and use EarnSure locally without iCloud sync. New changes won’t sync to your other devices. Turning sync off does not remove records already in iCloud. The full Delete all data workflow requires reachable iCloud.

4. What we receive

EarnSure doesn’t automatically send us work records or support reports. We receive information you send by email, and Apple may separately provide the developer information described in section 8.

Report a problem

More → Report a problem opens an email in your mail app, addressed to our support address. You see the whole message, and can edit it, before you send it. Nothing is sent unless you send it yourself. If you send it, we receive:

The app-generated support diagnostics don’t include your shifts, paychecks, pay rates or rate history, tips, bonuses, notes, job or employer names, your name, your region, your device model, edit history or holiday dates.

We use what you send to answer you and to fix or improve EarnSure. We keep support correspondence only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to the request, resolve the issue and maintain a useful support history. You may ask us to delete correspondence we still hold, unless we need to keep it for a legal reason.

Other emails

If you email us directly, we receive what you choose to include.

5. EarnSure Pro purchases

EarnSure Pro is a one-time in-app purchase from the App Store. It isn’t a subscription. Apple handles the payment, and we never receive your payment card details. The app checks with the App Store on your device whether you own EarnSure Pro and when you bought it, so it can unlock Pro features and show your purchase date. EarnSure doesn’t send your purchase to any server of ours. Apple gives developers sales reports under its own terms.

6. Reminders and notifications

EarnSure asks for permission before it sends notifications, and you can change that at any time in iOS Settings. Reminders, such as “Still clocked in?”, payday and “check your paycheck”, are scheduled on your device. No EarnSure server is involved. A reminder can include a job name, a date and a time, and iOS shows it according to your notification settings, for example on your Lock Screen.

7. Exports and sharing

A Timesheet PDF or CSV is created on your device only when you export one. It can include your optional name, the job and employer, your shifts, edit notes and pay estimates for the pay period you choose. It goes only where you share or save it. Once you share a file, the app or person you send it to handles it under their own terms. EarnSure keeps generated files only temporarily, in the app’s temporary storage.

8. Information Apple may share with developers

EarnSure contains no third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDK. If you choose to share analytics with app developers, Apple may make Apple-generated diagnostics, including crash reports, and usage statistics available to us. EarnSure does not intentionally attach or send your work records to these reports. Apple controls this collection and sharing mechanism under its own terms and settings; EarnSure does not itself upload analytics to us. You can change your choice in iOS Settings under Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements. See Apple’s App Analytics & Privacy information.

9. What EarnSure doesn’t do

10. Deleting your data

Because your work records are only on your devices and in your private iCloud, you can view and correct them in the app, export them with EarnSure Pro, and delete them subject to the iCloud requirements above. We can’t do that for you, because we don’t have them.

11. This website

This website has no cookies, analytics, ads or third-party scripts, and its fonts are served from the site itself. It’s hosted on Netlify, which processes technical information such as your IP address to deliver the pages, under Netlify’s own privacy policy.

12. Your privacy rights

PlugInCode Szymon Smodlibowski, established in Poland, is the controller for personal information we receive and process as described here. Contact: szymon.smodlibowski@plugincode.pl. Most work data stays on your device and/or in your private iCloud; we cannot access that private CloudKit database.

We process support emails to answer requests and resolve problems, and Apple-provided developer diagnostics to investigate faults and improve reliability. Where this information is personal data, our basis is our legitimate interest in providing support and maintaining a reliable app (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), subject to your interests and fundamental rights. Apple’s optional sharing setting governs what Apple makes available; it is not a separate consent request from us.

Support correspondence follows the retention criteria in section 4. We retain any diagnostic information we hold only as long as reasonably necessary to investigate the relevant issue and verify a fix, unless a legal reason requires longer retention. Apple controls retention within its own services.

Depending on where you live, applicable privacy law may give you rights relating to your personal data, including additional rights under local law. Contact us at the address above to exercise rights relating to personal data we actually hold, such as your support correspondence. We handle requests in accordance with applicable law. We cannot access, retrieve or change the work and pay records held only on your devices or in your private iCloud; use the app and your device/iCloud controls for those records.

Under the GDPR, for personal data we hold, you may request access, correction, erasure or restriction and, where the GDPR conditions apply, data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your situation. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. Contact us to exercise these rights. Private work records we do not hold are managed through your app, device and iCloud, as explained above.

You may complain to a competent supervisory authority, including in the EEA country where you live or work or where an alleged infringement occurred. In Poland, this is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych / UODO).

13. Changes to this policy

If EarnSure’s handling of information changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
